Hi there ,
I am fitting some low voltage lights in my kitchen and replacing an old fluorescent light. I am guessing that the old light was at the end of the circuit as there were 2 2-core + earth wires coming out of the wall and these were joined inside the fitting of the old light.
The problem I now have is that my new transformer only has points for earth and neutral. So what do I have to do with the earths? I know I have to join them but junction boxes are massive and unsightly is there a smaller tidier option that meets regulations?
The only other thing I can think to do is to join them in the ceiling in a junction box and then run a spur down from that in the wall which seems like a lot of work just to fit a few led lights.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers
Ian
