Just a quick question. We have had a new window fitted into a wall. The bricks were removed to form an opening for the size of the new timber framed window. On the inside the bare brick was bonded and then tiled.
However, my question is whether the exterior of the window has been done correctly. It looks as though white silicone has been used to seal between the wooden window frame and the brickwork.
This looks odd to me. Would it not have been better the installer not have used mortar and pointed around the frame?
I have included some photos if that helps.
Thanks
