Fitting thermostat to glowworm 52e

Just trying to work out where to break into wiring to install a salus 500rf a bit of advice would be much appreciated

The salus 500rf is a wireless stat.

Is there a stat on the boiler already? Otherwise its hard to tell unless we know what wiring is already in place.

No there's no room stat currentley if you can see the image on my profile I have taken a picture of the diagram for the boiler thanks

I cannot find specific installation instructions for the 52e (someone on the plumbing forum may be able to help) it looks like an old model.

The wiring for a more recent Glowworm boiler

(and from the wiring details you posted) indicates that you remove the RED LINK.
Using some 3-core and earth cable connect the wireless sender up like this:

Live to term > 7
Switched live > 8
Neutral > 3
Earth > 1

That should do it
