fitting tower programmer \ stat to vaillant 242

it depends on what room stat you have at the moment and if there is a neutral available , it may be easier to run a new cable from the boiler and mount the reciever next to the boiler.

I don't actually have a room stat at present its just the on board vaillant clock\programmer, does this make it a more complicated,

just found this on another site, 3 -4 are 230v and con 5 for extra neutral i.e room stat....

does this sound right?

no it makes it simpler to explain, the receiver requires power so you need to run 3 core .75mm from the boiler to the receiver , the connections are ..

boiler...............receiver

3.....................live

5.....................neutral

4.....................output

all the connections are 240v so follow the instructions that come with stat

champion only 3 connections on the reciever

live supply, neutral supply and live output so that tally's up nicely.

I'll post back when I've fitted it (hopefully will arrive Saturdayish). thanks for your help
