Hi.
My builder has fitted the basin to the worktop in our new bathroom and while it looks great it doesn't seem very secure. Its plumbed up and he's sealed it with silicone but not with any kind of fixings. To be fair there weren't any supplied with the basin but I can't help feeling its a bit "waffy" az me dad would say.... I reckon the kids will have that pulled off within weeks.

Has he done it right or is there a "standard" fixing I could get somewhere?

Its a semi recessed basin sitting on an mdf worktop in standard mdf furniture.

Thanks,
Andy.

If siliconed correctly this should be fine once it's gone off (3-4 hours). I can only ever remember one semi recessed basin coming with fittings, most are meant to be siliconed in position

hopefully he used tec 7 as it wont go anywhere when that sets properly
