Hello all

I want to make a new kitchen table by attaching a 1.5m x 90 cm pine blank onto an old wooden pedastal base.

What's the best way to attach this new top to the base?

Also, I'm quite keen to make the table top have flaps/extending pieces (so that it's folded size is less than 1.5 m in length - it's a small kitchen) - can anyone recommend a particular design which would work with a pedastal base? Ideally not flaps as it makes the table harder to sit at on two sides ....

thanks in advance for any advice!
