Hi, am looking to redo the flashing on the sill of a triple sash. Perhaps someone can give me some advice.
I'll get a small butane hand-held torch for brazing and practice a lot.
The plan I have is to cut three trays braze on any upstands and join them together somehow.
For the overlap between the 3 sections because my brazing might not be that good I was thinking to overlap a couple of inches with a fold over underneath and then braze on giving some security.
Not sure how the upstands of the trays fit into the timbers, are they just nailed in with some sealant over the top, or is there a recess cut in the wood and are the upstands folded at the top over the tack, or is there some sealant just stuck on the head of the tack?
Cheers
