I'm building a garden room but due to certain build requirements, I need to hang the joists and slope the (epdm) roof perpendicular to the front doors (side to side as you look at the building). I was going to slope the roof one way and build a small upstand to the front to hide the slope. However I'm now not sure this will look great. I'll be using firrings and the roof width will be 4.8m, would it be possible to butt the firrings through the middle and slope both ways at 2.4m, assume I'd need a 40mm to 0 on firrings either side. Would butting the osb on top of the firrings cause any issue at the butt joint when putting on the rubber? TIA

Absolutely fine.

Screw it down well so it doesn’t flex and where it joins maybe run a plane over it to flatten out any misalignment

Obviously have a think how it might affect your edge trim detailing
