Flexible Glue/ filler

I hope this query is in the correct place.

I have solid wood flooring in hall but laminate flooring in dining room, I need a Filler/adhesive that will stick the door bar down and not break the seal after walking on it. There is a small difference in the height of the two floors which made the previous glue(loctite) go brittle and break away after a short time.
Any ideas?

Door bar [threshold strip] should be screwed down, too small a profile for glue to adhere.
Is it similar to this?
