any plumber had experiance of the pipe on the link

i came across it at the brothers in laws nr the harrogate

its called unipipe (now called "uponor")

any thoughts..pros and cons ?

i have never used it

the plumbers up north (yorkshire is north to me) were using it where they were burying the pipes and then joined up to copper (they not doing a bad job)

Downsides - higher cost of pipe and fittings, slightly smaller effective diameter than copper equivalent, VERY expensive tools for making joints (but there are volume-related kickbacks).
Upsides:
O ring goes INSIDE pipe, which eliminates risk of leaks due to surface damage on pipe.
Aluminium layer gives what's essentially a plastic pipe enough stiffness to hold a bend - which you can make with your hands.
Aluminium layer MUST make a more effective O2 barrier than the plastic barrier in a pex pipe.
Pipe looks good enough to run all the way up to a rad valve, eliminating need for copper tails and joint below floor.

Not sure about rules when its in screed.
