Hi All
Interested Newb here so please bear with me (also, I'm not intending to do any plumbing so all I'm loooking for is a discussion on this).
Also, I've been inspired by Bunglebonce's post on Solder v. Pushit ...
I understand that there are three "main" types of pipe that can be used for heating and general plumbing applications:
1. Copper
2. Plastic
3. A type i know nothing about and will call the "Hybrid". I saw this on a US TV program ... it looks like a plastic pipe on the outside with a metal core and fittings are fixed on using a crimping tool.
Can you please advise on the pros and cons of each mainly with regards to speed and ease of installation, reliability, cost ... and any other things you may find relevant.
From what I have been able to read the "Hybrid" seem popular in the US and Canada but I can't really find much on them/their use or even cost in the UK.
Cheers guys and happy discussing!
