Hi
I am planning the following project and have some questions please...
the house (and boards) are about 100 years old. The attic room has some worn boards, as does the hall and bathroom, so I plan to take up boards throughout these spaces and tim them to in effect make good boards. Cutting will involve removing some edging, including T & G. Good boards will then be laid in hall and bathroom... attic to be boarded and carpeted later.
With lack of T & G, will expansion/contraction be likely to cause a problem with the butted-up boards?
What is the best way to seal gaps, etc?
Is it best to seal all joining edges?
many thanks
Simon
