Dear All,
I have installed some small mosaic tiles on the floor of my new shower room. The tiles are mainly made of glass (combination of smooth and rough) and small tiles (smooth) which are either ceramic or porcelain.
The shower has not yet been used.
The grout is Mapei Watercolour Plus water repellant polymer modified grout.
I have been advised to 'seal' the tiles and grout to protect against water ingress and the effects of soap and shampoo etc.
I have attached photographs of the new shower room and close up of the tiles.
I would be appreciative links to any recommended products which does not alter the colour of the tiles or grout and seals them. A sprayable or brushable product would be fine.
Kind Regards
Paul

Thanks Prentice, I would say some of the tiles are glass (smooth and rough) and also some of the tiles my be ceramic. There is also the grout to consider

I would only seal the tiles if the manufacturer advises it. Glass and ceramics don't need it, most porcelain don't usually need it just more porous types of natural stone.
Hope that helps.

That looks like glass and Travertine. If its not trav its a bloody good look'a'like!

If its travertine, its recommended to seal the before grouting.....ah...... too late. Might have got away with it as the grout is of a similar colour. Anyway, once grout, seal the LTP Mattstone. Buff it off after its had long enough to dry (will tell you on the bottle) and job done. You now have sealed trav AND sealed grout :)

If you are unsure, seal it anyway. Better to be safe than sorry.
