We are having our bathroom completely tiled.
Is it possible to fit around pipework by just drilling a hole in the tile and dropping the tile down around the pipework coming through the floor rather than splitting the tile.
Can the joint be removed from the radiator pipework to allow this?
Thanks

It is possible to pull the olive off a ripe to remove the nut but a hole about 25mm will clear the nut if you just remove the valve and leave a 5mm grout line around the pipe which look OK.

Use a diamond coated holesaw to drill the tile as this will give a clean edge.

Using either olive cutters or an olive puller. For example:

...or:

Or, if you're very careful, and in the absence of those nice tools, it can be done with a hacksaw blade. Mustn't score the pipe though!

Thats why I suggested the hole to clear the nut, not mant DIYers will have the correct tools.

make that a junior hacksaw with steel cutting blade ...

or as Jase says just Use a diamond coated holesaw
