Floorboards and concrete mixture in hall

Hi,

Planned to spend w/e sanding floorboards in hall but on ripping up carpet today discovered that there's about 2m of concrete at end of hall leading into kitchen. So basically, floorboards suddenly end and meet concrete.

Any thoughts on how to make this aesthitically appealing?! Can it be done?!

Could glue a t&g floating floor over concrete.
