Hi have a Vokera 20 80 RS fllowmatic that is leaking underneath from the large central heating flow/return valve. Leak seems to be coming from the open/close lever.

My question is, are these valves serviceable. If so, is it a washer, or tightening a gland...?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks Softus.

Yes, it has a large double lugged red lever that looks as if it's held on with a hex bolt.

I suppose it's a new one then.

You know, I've only been plumbing for about 3 years, but I can count on one hand the number of stopcocks/isolation valves that actually do what they're supposed to. 9 times out of 10 I find myself working fast and wet due to the steady drip!

Many thanks for your help. It's a brilliant forum.

Yes, the forum is a good thing Gary57, and I'm sure everyone welcomes you here.

After three years you'll probably have sussed out the first three rules of plumbing:

1. Control.
2. Control.
3. Control.

Strictly speaking these are actually just one rule, but it's such an important one that it's worth repeating. :D
