With a ceiling height of 7'6" (2286mm), a Baxi Duo-Tec 24HE fitted at wall unit height puts the flue through the ceiling. The horizontal flue out through the wall would run parallel to the joists. Can it be fitted with the flue elbow between the ceiling and floor above?

Otherwise, I could site the boiler away from the wall units by itself lower down on the other side of the kitchen.

I would advise you to get a registered gas installer in to have a look, boilers and flue/work are not realy a diy job, especially with the scenario you are proposing.

I have decided to site the boiler on the opposite wall away from wall units and by the sink. The gas fitter can do what he needs to without affecting the line of the wall units.
