The user manual comes on CD and is downloadable from the website.
They are good, but the supplied leads are absolute ****e. Invest in some decent ones. You will get spureous readings otherwise.
Make sure you zero your leads for the continuity AND the loop test seperately, and you may need to re-zero between using the leads and the plug - PITA.
I wouldn't get one again - the pain of the leads.

I've got the 1653 and apart from occasional problems with the leads it's fine.
