Flush button stuck down

Hi,

I'm new to this but my toilet button has recently popped off. It's a flush button. It went back onto the spring and remains down. However it flushes normally. Whenever we flush the toilet it pops out again and I have to put it back on.

How can I fix this this please?

Get rid of the flush valve and replace it with a Fluidmster flapper valve.

looks like a cheapo one from wickes/b&q. supposed to screw down but the base with the thread is snapped off. buy a new flushing unit as suggested. this one's knackered.

the flappers are delightfully simple, and give a good powerful (adjustable) flush.

better still, when worn you can replace the moving part from above with no need to take the cistern off again.

I have never fitted one to a cistern with a top button though, not sure how it fits.
