Flush connector or flush cone?

Now the problem:
I have a low level concealed cistern and the flush pipe is a pain in the arse to fit in to the connection at the back of the WC via rubber flush connector.
The flush pipes is going through vanity type unit and a bit difficult to be sure it fits snug.
So any tips on this, would it be advisable to cut in to the flush pipe as this is one piece (elbowed) and then fit straight cut section in to the pan flush inlet, then push back and make a coupling within the unit. Would any sealants help at the pan inlet as it does slightly leak when in place at the moment or it just not sitting right?

Simpla II inlet connector, EVA flushpipe connector, clear PVC flushpipe connector, Stadium BM99. For connector some will use the word cone instead.
Depends who you are talking to.

Screwfix say "PVC" in the title (Polyvinyl Chloride, but in the description state "EVA" (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate.

Apply some LSX to the flush pipe so that the flush pipe connector can slip on easily. Then fill the grooves of the flush pipe connector with LSX. (Try and wear latex gloves as it is a very sticky job.) Then push into the rear of the toilet, make sure the toilet is nice and dry. Wipe away excess.

Job Done.

The reason some of them leak is that the connector goes brittle over time.

Is it best to put the flush pipe through the connector first, prior to placing connector in pan inlet or is it best to have the connector inserted in to the pan inlet before installing flush pipe?

Put the connector on the flush pipe first, because you have put LSX on the pipe you can slide it up the pipe and fit the pipe into the toilet then push the connector into the toilet.
