Is it possible to get an SDS drill bit to cut the box tempate out for you??? replies to [email protected] please..thanks one ad all

yes, but the box sinkers are expensive £80 - £100. Not really worth it if your not going to use it much. Use a cold chisle.

all very well and good to say use a bolster/cold chisle but when the block is as hard as nails...Can u hire an SDS drill bit???

Well, as I said they're called box sinkers. Ring you local hire shop and find out!

I always drill outline first to required depth. Chisels out easy.

cheapest way is to get a box which you drill through to honeycomb.

Look in Argos catalogue- they do them.

Hi,

I recently hired an SDS drill with rotary stop (needed if using box sinker bit!, 110V transformer and the sinker bit from my local Protrade.

I think it cost about £18 for the day

they are very useful things to have if you say use them everyday you can buy the whole set from screwfix.com for £189
