Foam brushes

I'm bracing myself to start decorating the hallway - it's the painting of all the doors that I'm dreading. I saw somebody using a foam brush to apply wood stain and I just wondered if that would give a decent finish with water based satin?

I've tried a roller in the past and I'm pretty crap with that..................

Use synthetic paintbrushes.

Foam brushes only work with very, very thin liquids.

Consider buying a decent roller and sleeve.
