FOCUS REMOTE NOT WORKING

Hi all,
I have an 57 PLATE 2007 FOCUS.
The Keyfob stopped working , so I changed the battery and tried reprogramming to no avail.
I have read on this forum about the Siemens Remote Control Box
and how if this is unplugged the fault may clear,
What I would like to know is where is the location of said box?
I have looked in the drivers side footwell, do I have to take the plastic
facia off?
Have tried removing the one starite screw I couls see but the facia
still would not come off!
Anyone help please?

try to switch the ignition on and off around 7 times until you hear a tone the press the one of the fob button in and hold for 5 secs ! you may have to try this a few times until it receives programming from ignition !!

Thanks , I tried that many times to no avail.
I have now purchased a new Fob which I am hoping to program
later today.
