Well yes you can obviously sexually assault someone without touching that area, but this bloke done it in front of millions, he meant no harm and now his life is ruined.

If you kiss a stranger in Tesco you'll get in trouble but thats different to this.

Yes, I'd concede that if the victim were being assaulted with clear sexual intent, and an unsuccessful attempt to get at her (or his) genatalia, it would count as sexual assault. But I don't think a kiss on the lips as happened here qualifies.

I think it was because he held her head in his hands and sort of forced the kiss. Either way I wouldnt have made anything of it
 
What about a new years eve? I kiss lots of strangers who I have never met before. I cannot see how a kiss could be classed as sexual assault.
