Ford Fiesta Brake Disks

Has anybody replaced a Fiesta front brake disk. My Haynes manual says that after removing the Calliper support bracket the disk can be removed by tapping the disk gently with a hide/plastic mallet. Mine wont move.

Has anybody any tips please?

WD40 and a bigger hammer.

Are there 2 small retaining screws that go through the disk and into the hub that you forgot to take out first?
