Ford Focus 1.8TDCi 2004 model

I have a vag com cable that works with VW polo. I use VCDS lite software with this cable. The software only lists VW, AUDI, SEAT, Skoda engines. I can not see any other engine in the list. Is this cable and software going to work with Ford Focus 1.8TDCi? I bought the cable from ebay and works fine with VW POLO. Can not figure out how to scan the fault code from Ford Focus. If anybody have experience of scanning fault code from Ford Focus please let me know.

As far as I know that VCDS software is from Ross-Tech.

They specialize in VAG (VW Audi group), so you wont be able to scan the Ford

But if any of the other members can tell you how to scan a Ford with it, I'll be very interested.

yeah you need the ford version,as said the 1 youve got is for vag cars.

just buy another code reader from ebay for the ford, pretty cheap now
