Have you bought the speakers yet? Assuming you have no instructions then this for starters:-

Draw outline for speakers on under side of shelf.
Cut out slightly smaller hole, enough to be able to fasten speakers.
Or drill several holes through shelf in the shape of the cones.
Fasten speakers to shelf.
Wire up to amp, possibly via a 4/6 way F/R fader.
Lose speaker wires under upholstery(or not, if you're slack).
Keep speaker polarity consistent throughout speaker system.
Test. In your car with Abbas greatest hits?

Sorry to seem dumb and thank you for your reply, but where would I find the "amp"? And what is "a 4/6 way F/R fader." Sorry to be pain.

Thanks

Usually the amp is an integral part of your Radio/CD/etc, but you could also have a dedicated power amp.

what is "a 4/6 way F/R fader."

Sorry, badly worded that. Your radio unit again might have a 4 way fader on it ie the option to position sound anywhere left to right and front to back. In this case your unit will have four speaker outputs. If you're adding rear speakers where there were previously none, you may have to wire up and fit a front/rear fader if you want that as a feature.
