Recently moved into a house where nout had been done to it since year dot.

Prior to completion the owner had installed as far as we are led to believe, a new Baxi Bermuda back boiler (now circa 3years old) which feeds an indirect Primatic (Fortic) tank in an upstairs bedroom.....this appears to date from the 1960's(?).

The tank location doesn't particulary bother me so happy for it to stay as is, although there will be at some point in the future a need to replace the tank. Hence weighing up the options now.

Are the "new" Range Fortic tanks much cop and is it a case of a fairly simple swap, or are there any other tanks on the market that will do the job just as well? Are there other "system" alternatives?

And more to the point are the new Fortics as noisy as the old ones whilst filling? Yes... the neighbour has complained about the noise it makes filling (which isnt that bad)...told her to wind her neck in as its been there longer than she has...

I appreciate that installing a Combi will be more efficient, and Fortics arn't the first choice on everyones list however for the intention is for us not to be in the property too long....

You can just fit an ordinary indirect cylinder & a separate feed & expansion tank.
