Hello
I would be grateful if somebody could give me some information. I have just got rid of "builders" who were meant to be building an extension to my home - they made a complete mess of the underbuild which I have had to pull down as it was neither level of plumb, and they have managed to lay one of the foundations 300mm in the wrong place......
anyway, I have noticed something that is giving me real concern -
There is a main drain (clay) which runs underneath the proposed extension through my garden - on one side they have completed encased the pipe within the foundations - I thought you would have to stop the foundation either side of this and lintel of the top to conform to building regs (scotland)?
This is a nightmare because if I am right would you have to cut out the found and pipe and replace a section of the clay drain pipe? I am in the process of getting a competent builder sorted out but any info in the meantime would be helpful.
Many Thanks
