Foundations Querie

Hi Guys,

Two vey quick questions for you,

1, Im about to start laying my concrete foundations today but we have light rain, is it ok to still go ahead and pour the concrete ???

2, its a single story extension with foootings of 1.1mtrs should i use a mix of 4:1 mixed ballast and cement ???

light rain will not effect the concrete whatsoever.

concrete loves the rain.

provided the trench bottom has not become soft and muddy to an alarming degree then you will be fine.

mix the concrete 6 ballast to 1 cement.

Cheers for that Noseall,

the bottom of the trench is a little soft due to rain etc, but i plan to dig than out a bit before laying the concrete.

Sorted at last took 13 hours and 80 barrow loads of cement but i now have foundations in, hoooooray.
