Franke kitchen tap - why two different types of tap tails?

Got a new franke kitchen tap. Expecting two usual tap tails with same connections, instead I get one with the normal connection and another with one ive not come across for a tap connector.

Why?!!?? Whats the reason? Every other tap ive installed comes with the standard fitting. But for some reason franke decide to two different ones!

One is a non return valve.
