Well now there's a coincidence, because I found a cornflake in a packet of mice two or three weeks ago...... Maybe it was a revenge attack. :?

Ok Empip, I'll see what I can do. Where are they being held at the moment?

In every packet of cornflakes
not funny
Actually it was very funny.

Here's something that isn't funny:

I completely agree - in fact I burst out laughing whenever I think of this:

The best joke of all is that some people think he was a good comedian.

But the truth will always out...

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/1010/1010808_mannings_racist_confession.html

Although his racism was no means a posthumous revelation:

[url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/3867363.stm]The BBC said:

His usual foul language and racist reputation made him a high risk for television.

But it was that reputation that led to a Channel 4 wheeze to take him to Bombay and see how he fared in two engagements there. Badly was the answer.

On Mrs Merton's television show, Bernard Manning supposedly floored Caroline Aherne's alias by confirming that he was a racist.

More years ago than I care to remember, I saw this chalked on a wall:

"FREE ASTRID PROLL"

and underneath:

"NO THANKS I'VE GOT ONE"

On another wall I saw

"FREE PRISONERS"

There was no hint as to which prisoners should be freed but there was an addendum:

"WITH EVERY FOUR GALLONS"

But the one that took the biscuit, for me at least, was more subtle. Back in the sixties this scrawl appeared in huge letters on a toilet block wall:

"PREPARE FOR REVOLUTION" followed by one of those upside down aerial symbols. (Radio engineers will know what I mean.)

Nothing unusual about that, except that someone had crossed out "REVOLUTION" and inserted "PHILIP GUDGIN" instead.

It stood for over ten years until the council painted the wall. But the old colours bled through and a ghostly Philip Gudgin emerged to mock their efforts. Sadly, it was demolished in the nineties. :( :( :(

Are you saying then, that anyone who liked Bernard Manning as a comedian, must be racist, because your above statements seem to imply that....?
I've neither made nor implied anything about anybody other than Bernard Manning, who was a self-confessed racist, and made his living out of telling racist 'jokes'.

If you think that you're a racist because you liked his comedy, then so be it.

I'm certainly not racist and don't have any other 'isms either to the best of my knowledge and I loved Manning's humour ... Cracking night out.

The problem with the daft world we now live in is that you can't tell a joke about anything other than a white heterosexual able-bodied young man without being labelled a racist/homophobic/disablement prejudiced or ageist tw*t.
