Just looking for some advice/suggestions. I am replacing my Gas Oven with an Electric Oven. I wish to replace a double electric socket with an Electric oven socket. Can i just wire it to the excisting socket? If so, do i chase a the cable in the wall to a conveinient location to wire the oven? What are the current regs? Any advice is much appreciated.

Depends what loading the cooker is ie single or double oven, A single oven will generally be fitted with a 13a plug top.

Its a single oven, but i want to wire it properly to a cooker socket, not have a loose plug/cable, thus the advice greatly welcome
