Asked to collect a (very) second hand and filthy cooker from one house, and deliver and connect it to another place fairly close by.
The donated cooker belonged to some elderly hippy types, and the recipient somewhat similar but younger.
The cooker cable had been severed, so it was off with a panel at the back to reveal the connection block.
Compressed inside was a family of (presumably electrocuted
) mice 
All five of them 
The stink has stayed with me all day
