Hi all,

I have bought and read the readers digest wiring and electricity book (thanks to BAS for suggesting this one).
I found this book to be very good in terms of pics and clear explanations.
However I think it lacks a little bit on the testing side of things.
I was wondering if there is a book which is simple to understand but also has a little bit more material on testing circuits safely for the average DIYer.

Also do you think the IEE wiring regs book is too much for a DIYer or would it be useful to read?

Regards

There are many books to choose but BS7671:2008 may be a little heavy for DIY basis. It really depends on yourself but at £65ish it's certainly not worth the risk unless you can take a look before buying.
Brian Scadden writes very good books, also Darrell Lockes guide to the wiring regulations (2008) is worth a look.
