Fuse allocation recommendations for CU in a bungalow

The best thing to do with underfloor heating is pretend you've got it so you sound dead posh to your mates, but don't actually install it. Electric underfloor heating is so dismally poor you often can't tell wether it's on or off anyway.

The other problem is that the thermal lag really isn't suited to variable climates like Britain since it behaves like a giant storage heater - Get a sudden warm, sunny day and you're still heating the house when it isn't needed; get a sudden chill after a few nice days and you're using other sources of heat anyway while you wait for the underfloor system to get back up to temperature.

You'll be lucky to heat much with electric underfloor heating anyway. Its fine to warm your tooties, but not really effective for space heating.
If you are serious about it, you are better installing zoned wet underfloor heating. Thats proper, effective heating.

As you have a bungalow, what sort of floors do you have? If they are solid floors then don't forget that you'll also be paying to heat up all that concrete as well…
