I live in a 2 bed semi, lounge & kitchen downstairs 2 bedrooms & bathroom upstairs.

Just this morning my fusebox was tripped (no idea why) the main lights in both bedrooms and the bathroom were taken out, all the powerpoints etc in the 3 rooms worked fine. when I reset the thing it did it a second time. The 3rd time this happened none of the bedroom or bathroom lights were on.

Any idea what it may be?

Called to a fault like this on Monday evening, traced the fault to shorted strappers in 2 way lighting for landing.

Has the mcb reset now? with all lights off.
It could be a blown lamp & the eliment has hung, you'll only know by removing the lamps in bed/bathroom lights & retrying.

Wasn't the bulbs!

I have an extractor fan in my bathroom that was shorting due to water condensation.

Taken it out and everything is working fine!
