Fused Spur for appliances - distance

Just want to double check this, I'm going to get a grid put in for the fuses to operate the dishwasher/over/extractor/fridge. Is there any regulations that state that the fuse has to be a certain distance from the appliance?

And don't worry, I'm not going to be doing any work myself. But want to be able to suggest ideas, as it's a bit of an awkward shaped kitchen.

The short answer is 'No'. However, for appliances which are going to be plugged into a socket via a fused plug (quite possibly dishwasher and fridge, maybe oven) you don't really need an additional fuse - a gridswitch feeding an unswitched single socket (for the appliance) would be adequate.
