not sure if this should be in Roofing section, or here.....
Building a gable end, should the slope of the outer skin, and inner blockwork, be on the same level as the rafters, or is the outer skin lower than the rafter. to allow for bedding the final tiles onto the bricks? If so, how much?
And where do the battons supporting the tiles stop?
Won't the weight of the tiles make the battons sag down over the last 300 mm where they cannot be nailed to the rafters?
The strip of sheet material (not sure what it is called) that allows the tiles to go an inch or so beyond the outer skin - how is this fixed to the wall?
Thanks!
