The gable end of my garage is supported by a wooden lintel. Over the years the wood has warped & rotted causing the some bricks on the outer leaf of the solid wall to drop half an inch or so; also a couple of bricks have fractured. However, the inner leaf is relatively unscathed. Would it be safe to stitch the brickwork back together then support the gable end on several acrow props prior to replacing the lintel? Or would it be safer to demolish & rebuild the gable end? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Have you got a photo? You may get away with a few strongboys and acrows. How big's the opening and what's above it?
