For 2 years it has been great, now we too have the problem of shutting of the water. The cover has been removed and the switch. still does not shut the water down :( so it has to be shut off by its own shut off valuve. :( all
installed by the regulations we have today.

Due to have major back surgery next week and will very much need the shower. So please any help will be much apperciated. :D

Thanks in advance.

Yep, it would be adviseable to buy a new Mira shower.

Gainsbroughs are rubbish.

Thanks for the advice, reading some of the answers about Gainsborough
showers it seems sound advice. :)

But it must be something so simple as its been fine since it been fitted! :)
OH won't give up that easily, never heard of Micra but then not done the rounds or research on showers, this one was recommended! :o

Quick tip, save some cash if your thinking of buying a new shower...

Pop along to your local B&Q, have a look at the "essential" range of showers.... These are made by Mira and are a fraction of the price....

9.5kw Mira 160 quid..... :(

B&Q Essential 9.5kw 70 quid..... :D

Same workings and tanks inside, just the outer cases that are different.... Its amazing how much a brand name costs these days....

:!: :!: :!:

Had a 9.5Kw Essentials shower for a couple of years now, quite impressive for electric.

I once had a split in the shower head hose and the shower wouldn't turn off while water was leaking out the hose. Thats the only way i can explain it, new hose and the problem was solved. You might be better asking on the plumbing forum. . .

Hi all,

Thanks for replys :) no probs with the hose, will look on the plumbing section as advised. :)

Its a so funny, won't live that one down
Sower in a Micra, guess they don't know it has a new feautre
