Gainsborough ambassador shower fluctuates in temperture

Hi there,
My mum is complaining her shower keeps on fluctuating between hot and cold when she has a shower.
I have read that this could be down to the thermostatic controll valve is this true?
The shower is feed by a combi boiler ?
Could there be any other problem that could cause this?
All help appreciated thanks .

Hi there,
She had a shower whilst the heating was on and she said the the temp stayed steady .
So what could this be.
Please help thanks

I had thought it was the thermo cartridge but then she said it was ok with the heating on made me not so certain.
