Why would a month old shower leak from the shower vent pipe thing?

If water was turned off for work to be done on pipes then when turned back on, if shower was set on a high temp setting because the shower is not properly full of water it boils up and blows a little pressure relief bung in a hole on the oulet pipe

Sorry mate but i dont have an answer for you but I love you technical turn of phrase

:):):):):)

are you sure it wernt the dooings or the doodar?

so there is meant to be a bung in it then?

I've been to see the shower and it looks as if it has activated the prv because a tap washer  was used on the shower hose, spent 45minutes trying to work out why it would not work (still coming out of the vent) and could not understand how it wouldnt leak under normal conditions!!!! - if there is a bung that blows off (excuse me!) then it obviously wont leak if it is replaced - yippeee!

One i went to was week old ,instructions said call manufacturers told them to take it back to argos who relaced it straight away. Instead of swivel or fixed inlet connection it had a housing with 2 push fit bungs one to be removed for top or bottom entry not the best as the one left in place kept on pushng out under mains pressure , would not recommend them.

Ditto corgiman but it was for a mates sister and she has a lovely set of thrupenny bits and coinage have always interested me.

I can never turn down a ladee with nice thruppennies

call it a weakness if you will ;)
