Hi All,

I've noticed gaps between the door leaf edge and the door jamb frame. Its a fire door which should only have a 3mm gap. At the moment its more like 11mm in some places.

I was wondering how can this be repaired without changing all the doors?

I was thinking wood filler the door until it achieves a 3mm gap? Would that be ok?

Thanks

On a fire door, you could add intumescent strip with smoke seal to the frame. You need wooden strip not filler. You aren't allowed to alter the door so put it on the frame (lining).

It already has a intumescent strip in the door. But the gap still seems too wide.

Maybe wooden strip on the door frame jamb?
