The house we have purchased has a PVC gutter . Water flowing down our concrete tiled roof flows between the gutter and tiles .I suspect the house had metal guttering which would be fixed closer to the outside board (fascia ?)allowing for the flow of water to go staight into the gutter . Our garage has metal guttering or did untill it rusted out!!! Ideally I would try to purchase gutter brackets which fix the gutter closer to the Fascia board but cannot find any that match to the PVC gutter.Damn

as you say this problem usually occurs when new fascia and gutter are replaced on some houses another alternative is to extend the first row of tiles into the gutter
