I am building a garden office and need 6 double power points installing, the fuse board is on the outside wall ~40 ft away from the garden office. Firstly can the electrician have the cable atatched to the house for the first 25 ft and have it hanging between the house and the office for 15ft or must it be buried. Secondly at what cost would this be for an electrician.[/b]

Thomas, it should be buried along it's whole length in an ideal world, but if any part of it needs to be suspended for any reason, this should be done properly at least 2.5m from the ground amd using the proper grade catenary wire and retention mechanisms.

As for cost, how long is a piece of string, any figure given here is full of inaccuracies unless you have seen the job. Not being an electrician you will look at the job different to someone who is, they will see and know things you do not, and this can and does effect the price.

I would suggest you contact several local sparkies or contractors and ask them to come and quote for the Job.

to have it above groud for 15FT is bit of a waste. itll be better o bury the entire length
