I nee to replace some garden steps and was planning on constructing them out of concrete block, finished in a slab/tile - this won't be choosen for sometime, so was thinking of a temporary slab to cover the blockwork, replacing it in the future with the slab/tile that I am, told to use!

The steps need to rise up about 3ft, probably 4/5 steps in total - I assume I will need to put some form of foundation/footing down for the blockwork?

Is there anything wrong with what I am proposing, or another way to do it?

cheers
