Gas boiler banging after refilling heating system

I have just emptied and refilled out gas central heating system but when I turned it on the boiler started banging and turned itself off.

What have I done wrong?

How should I have refilled it.

All I done was trurned the header tank water back on and bled all the air out of the radiators.

air in the system, try making sure there is some water in the header tank first.
