Hi

My mother-in-law just bought a new gas cooker. Comet were supposed to fit it but refused because there was a CCU on the wall from a previous electric cooker. Apparently new regs say that this needs to be blocked off.

Is that correct (ie: is it a CORGI thing or a comet fob off?)

Looks like it's going to be tricky to block as the old style CCU is about 7 inches square so I can't find a blanking plate to fit it. Any ideas?

If there is a bayonet fitting for the cooker you can just connect it up yourself. If it needs plumbing in I would not think Comet could do it unless they have Corgi fitters these days.
