gas fire service

Evening all,i have a Housewarmer Emberglow 11, 55 electronic, with a
Myson lable on it, is this fire servicable.
I have had an engineer sevice it only to be told that the filter in the cast body of the fire cannot be changed, as it is built into the body of the fire,
and cannot be renewed,is this correct?

dont know about a filter in the cast body, at least on the stand alone emberglows of yesteryear
